A revolution,
by definition, is a fundamental change in power or organizational structure. The women who began this team had that in mind when they set out to make an elite women's team based out of St. Louis in 2010. They sought to bring together the best talent in the region, recruiting from regional colleges, city teams, and everyone in-between. The ladies of RevoLOUtion may have started as rivals, but as a team we have formed relationships that continue to build the ultimate community at the college, community, and regional levels. Our inaugural season we snagged an unexpected berth at Nationals, traveling to Florida and breaking seed. The 2011season brought another spot at Natties, and another time breaking seed and proving that legit women's ultimate in the midwest isn't just a pipe dream anymore.
We work hard, we play hard, and we have a fantastic time doing it!
In 2012, we're looking to bring even more competition-hungry individuals from all corners of the region to join us. There have been a few changes this year... a new team formed, a new regional structure, and a new face for Revo. We're ready to face the changes and bring the heat (inevitable in the St. Louis summer, really...). RevoLOUtion is, as it has always been, a disc-hungry group of women who show up when it's time to get down. Join us?!
Practices will be in St. Louis (and surrounding areas) and are ALWAYS open to any and all female players. We play on the Langenberg Fields in Forest Park (next to the tennis courts) - Summer 2012 times TBA. Check out the "Schedule" link above for more details - we're looking forward to as much playing time as possible this season!
